Two people of Myanmar with four lakh Yaba, were detained

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said two Myanmar people, including four lakh 35 thousand yaba tablets, were arrested in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

On Sunday, the two people were detained along with a boat from Nafnadi area of ​​Teknaf around 3:30 am on Sunday. Two mobile phones were also seized from them.

Two of the detainees, the resident of Mangdur Mangala of Akyab district of Myanmar. Kamal Ahmed (45) and Md. Ilias (30).

BGB says

Teknaf-2 BGB deputy commander Major Shariful Islam Jamadder said in the light of the day that the BGB patrol team could see a suspect boat in Naf river in the early hours. After that the boat signals to stop. BGB tried to flee when two people in the boat tried to escape. Later, they recovered two yaba sacks from it. Their estimated cost is 13.44 million taka. The process of the case is being handed over to the detained and handed over to the police station.
